This Gathering Foot is perfect for gathering a single layer of fabric or for gathering one layer while stitching it to a flat layerall in one step. Ideal for light to medium weight fabrics, it’s a great choice for creating ruffles, flounces, and softly gathered seams with ease and precision.

How to Use:

1. Set Up Your Machine Choose your desired stitch on the overlock machine.
2. Attach the Foot Snap on the Gathering Foot.
3. Position the Bottom Layer (To Be Gathered) Slide the bottom fabric layerright side upunder the Gathering Foot and up to the cutter.
4. Insert the Top Layer (Flat Layer) Place the second fabric layerright side downinto the opening on the top of the Gathering Foot, aligning it with the bottom layer.
5. Start Sewing Lower the presser foot and begin stitching. Guide the fabric layers along the fabric guide, allowing the bottom layer to feed freelythis is what creates the gathered effect.

Tips to Increase Gathering Fullnesss:

• Increase the needle thread tension
• Set the differential feed to a higher number
• Use a longer stitch length

Gathering a Single Layer:
To gather just one layer of fabric, simply place it under the foot (no second layer on top) and adjust the stitch length, differential feed, and needle tension as needed to achieve your desired level of fullness.
