Add playful texture and unique dimension to your sewing with the Pfaff Decorative Fringe Foot that creates looped embroidery with ease. The clever stitch formation holds securely in place, so you can leave the loops intact for a soft, raised design or cut them open to form a plush fringepolyester or cotton threads work best for this technique. A built-in groove underneath the foot allows you to form loops over cords, and it can even be used for tailor tacks. This foot opens up creative possibilities for decorative sewing.

Best used when the zigzag stitches are between a width of 2.5 mm and 6 mm.

How to Use:

1. Test First
   If using heavier threads, increase the stitch length slightly and test on a scrap piece.
2. Mark Your Design
   Use a fabric marking pen to outline your desired pattern and place a piece of stabilizer under the fabric for support.
3. Adjust Tension
   Set the upper thread tension to 23, loosening until no bobbin thread comes to the surface.
4. Select Stitch
   Choose the decorative fringe stitch or a zigzag stitch (length 0.5 1.0)
5. Finish Carefully
   When done, gently pull the fabric from the machine while holding the last loops to prevent flattening them.
6. Secure Threads
   Knot the beginning and ending threads on the reverse side.
