How to Use:To Gather Fabric
- Attach the gathering foot securely to your sewing machine.
- Position the fabric under the presser foot.
- Sew with a straight stitch and increase the upper thread tension to create tighter gathers as needed.
To Gather and Attach Fabric in One Step:
- Place the fabric to be gathered under the presser foot right side up.
- Position the flat fabric (the one receiving the ruffle) right side down in the groove of the foot.
- Guide the bottom fabric through the machine, but do not hold it back.
- Keep the top fabric aligned in the groove and move it steadily as needed.
- Increase the stitch length, upper thread tension, and presser foot pressure for a fuller, more gathered effect.
