Wire Heddles

Each warp thread passes through a single heddle. Each heddle is attached to a shaft. As the shaft moves up and down, so does the thread in the heddle. This is what opens and closes the shed. Different weave structures are produced by the pattern of heddles attached to different shafts.

Heddle Installation

• Wire Heddles – do not remove the string until the heddles are installed on the heddle bars. These restraints serve to keep order, and we will not take back un-restrained heddles if you have ordered the wrong size.
